##### 3.2.3.2.2 Verification of assumed name Applicants MAY request an Assumed Name to be included in the Certificate. The CA or RA SHALL verify that: 1. The Applicant has registered its use of the Assumed Name with the appropriate government agency for such filings in the jurisdiction of its incorporation or registration; and 2. The Assumed Name filing continues to be valid. The CA MAY rely on an Attestation that indicates the Assumed Name under which the Applicant conducts business, the government agency with which the Assumed Name is registered, and that such filing continues to be valid.
